A large OpenFlow painting PP53-THE VERMEER’S DAUGHTER of the series Presence painting Season 8 - made during an artistic performance painting with a model in Paris. I met M. during a contemporary art exhibition in Paris. I was immediately seduced by her, by the moles on her skin. Quickly we found a common passion, the wine tasting. Few weeks later she joined me in my large studio in Paris near the "Bibliothèque de France". She arrived in a green beautiful luxury dress and original tights. There was a special atmosphere with her in the workshop. The July light, the reflections on the metal bowls of paint, her pretty dress, the way she was walking in heels on the floor smeared with paint. I don't know why the title of the painting immediately came to my mind "Vermeer's daughter". We tasted a bottle of burgundy while making the painting. *James creates an artistic performance called Presence Painting Performance (3P). It’s a new type of portraiture, an augmented portrait to catch the presence of the model.For each painting James invites a new person-model whose presence inspires him. Since 2005, he has produced 100 unique artistic performances.
