The Whitetip Reef Shark is one of the most common sharks found among coral reefs in the Indo-Pacific region. They are considered a smaller species of shark, growing no longer than 5' to 5'6" and are rarely aggressive towards humans, but may be curious enough to check them out. As of 2021, this species is considered Vulnerable by the International Union for Conservation of Nature.
