A team of brilliant young people (the film is fictional) has been tasked with cracking the mystery behind recent events that have been plaguing them. The film takes place over two weeks in the lives of the people they grew up with in their youth, as they struggle to keep their inner dream alive in order to live out their full potential and fulfill the demands of their life. The people's lives are dealt with against a backdrop of changing attitudes and expectations about life in contemporary Japan. The film follows the life of each member of the team, each bearing on their own issues—mainly relationships, family problems and issues of class and race. The characters strive for true love while trying to stay true to themselves and understand exactly what their deepest desires may be. The story revolves around the relationships that each member of the group are trying to bring together.
