Pulling Threads

Aesthetics, and what I suppose is considered beauty in art, is of little concern to me when I’m creating. How color and form work together is far more interesting. At our most primitive, we seek two things. First, a reaction from ourselves. Later, from those we have the courage to show. Creating art is creating a connection. Inviting conversation. Reminding each other that what we share is our humanity and a desire to grasp in some small way why we’re all here.
