A car had crashed in a forest after swerving to miss something that strode into the road. They had managed to get reception to ring for help. In the last seconds of the phone call, they described a creature that stood at around 8ft, was made of flesh, bone, and had enormous antlers. One of the tech team flagged the description and my team was called in. It was the call no one wanted to receive, a category 5 Demonic Viral, one of the most dangerous entities we know… By the time we arrived the car was in ruins. The top had been torn clean and the bodies… one was torn apart and strewn over the road. The other we found further down the hill into the first.It had been stripped of their clothes and their flesh distorted in a hideous manner. We couldn’t identify either. We wore military-grade armored hazmat suits and two of our team were armed with flame throwers. The forest was thick with fog, so our visuals were limited. Within minutes we heard something large coming through the tree line. One of the younger soldiers opened fire but it was onto of him within seconds. It quickly broke through his suit and latched onto his chest. It then turned to the rest of us and began to head toward the group, dragging the screaming man behind it. We lit it up. A deafening cry filled the ear that sounded like a blend of humans and animal screams. It tried to flee but the man attached to its arm slowed it down. The surrounding area has been contained and the forest burnt. Eventually, madness as the virus infests them and begin to alter their DNA. The virus causes organic tissue to fuse and meld with the host, blending their flesh. Eventually, their body grows to around 8 feet tall and can look very different depending on what they originally fuse with. They usually seek out the strongest animals in the area that consists of Stag, wolves, bear, and human. The virus eventually runs its course and the creature slowly dies as their cells degenerate. Do not approach, fire is the only way to destroy it.
