The Veil Nebula West, also called the Western Veil or Caldwell 34, is a nebula in the Inner Orion Spur. It is the western companion of the Veil Nebula East. Created approximately 9,000 years ago, it stretches over 30LY in diameter. The super heated hydrogen (red) and oxygen (blue-green) throw shimmering patterns across the night sky of the worlds nearby.
