The Moon Jellyfish can be found all over the world, but prefers warm environments. In 1991, the Space Shuttle Colombia carried Moon Jellyfish polyps into space to study how the lack of gravity in space effects jellyfish development and to determine if adult jellyfish would behave differently once they return to Earth's gravity.
