Michael is part of a secret branch of the church tasked with shedding light on possible disruptions in divine order. He has no limits to accomplish his mission, even if he has to shed blood to achieve it. To do penance, he brands himself with a hot iron in the shape of a Christian cross on his back for each person killed. He heard about several suspicious activities resulting in the deaths of several people in unnatural circumstances. One of his missions took him to Orphans Shiba, Satoshicity's orphanage where children mysteriously disappear every year. He met two twins who told him about their ordeal and the conditions in which their friends disappeared.
