There are really the only two reasons that humanity ever really experiences suffering. They believe that which is not true, and they refuse to accept that which is true. Manipulation and deception go to work on us on a daily basis, as some of us know. They exist to basically pull us away from the truth. And to get us to not see the truth - get us to not see what is right there in front of our eyes, in plain sight, so to speak.
