After surfing on the Bay of Dalian (the empire's tourist capital), Kururu scheduled an appointment with her hooman acquaintance. Thousands of hoomans visit this land of demidogs when a peace treaty between the two species was established in the late 1800s. This image was captured 2 hours before the flood. Kururu survived when coincidentally, her hooman acquaintance requested her to climb the nearby fortress of Fragrant Hills to deliver the mail to the Emperor. (They're both liaison officers who coordinate between the humans and demidogs). However, to Kururu's surprise, the whole fortress was abandoned. The mail was lost during the flood.
