For those who have never been to this beautiful location, Hanauma Bay is located in Honolulu, Hawaii, and is a coral nature preserve. It's only open Wednesdays through Sunday, with Monday and Tuesday closed to visitors to ensure the environment has time to recover. The dark portions of the water are all coral and sea life. To get into the bay, you need to walk or take a ride down the "crater-like" slope. You can see from the surrounding landscape the level you have to walk down to access the beach. This is one of the most beautiful scenes I've ever had the privilege to experience. Because of the limitations of the (then) iPhone camera, I used the Pro HDR app to bring out the saturation rate, pulling more blues and greens from the sky and surrounding greenery to match what I actually saw while I was there. For those that experienced the old iPhone photos, the lighting would always be washed out. If you ever get a chance to go to this magnificent place, you need to purchase tickets (currently available online) and they start closing off the beach at 3:30 PM. Equipment: iPhone 4S using Pro HDR app. Date of photo: July 7, 2013
