Bruce the Hippo lived in a small fishing village. He missed the noise and interaction that came from living among other hippos. Bruce kept hearing about his friend Wallace who had moved to the city to work at a zoo, but Bruce was happy in his small town. One day Bruce saw a strange looking boat parked at the pier. He caught whiff of strange food and loud music. A wave of homesickness overcame him and he couldn't resist finding out what was going on. When Bruce finally caught up with his old friend Wallace, he learned that life wasn't as peachy as it seemed from afar. Wallace said that his home had been destroyed by floods and now he was just trying to survive. The two friends shared their stories and old memories, promising to always stay in touch no matter what happened.
