Poland is considered an Eastern European state, although in fact it is geographically located in the center of Europe. On the Polish lands at different times there were different state formations. Pole Maximilian Faktorovich founded his world-famous cosmetics company Max Factor at a time when Poland was part of Russia. Therefore, he opened his first cosmetics store in Ryazan and within a short time became a supplier to the royal court. In 1904, Faktorovich emigrated to the United States and successfully continued his business there.
