In Yoruba mythology, Sango also known as Jakuta is perhaps the most popular Orisha; he is god of thunder and lightning and as well one of the most worshipped gods all over the world. Sango was a royal ancestor of the Yoruba as he was the third king of the Oyo Kingdom. While one of his remarkable quality was that his rage was venomous, much that every effort to placate or pacify an angry Sango would end in futility.
