In the distant future, the world has become a virtual playground for the wealthy, where the only currency that matters is BlueCash, the crypto-token that rules over the virtual world of Blue-light city. Humans are now called "wallets" and they live their lives plugged into the city, with every aspect of their lives governed by the blockchain. Kotoki is a NFT, who has been living in Blue-light city for all of her life along side her canine companion, Reinex . She is a skilled NFT survivor, having honed her skills against the various kaiju, assailants and thieves called “Ruggers” that inhabit the city. Kotoki is a unique unclaimed NFT, Unlike the other NFTs that are claimed by wallets, she has the ability to learn, grow, and adapt like a machine learning AI. She is a rare breed, and her existence is both a gift and a curse. Kotoki spends her days battling against the various NFT enemies that roam the city by using weapons and abilities at her disposal. These adversaries are created by the wallets who own them, and they serve as a form of entertainment for the rich, called "Whales". Every time a NFT dies, it is "burned" and their value is lost forever. This makes Kotoki's life even more difficult, as she is constantly fighting for survival, knowing that one misstep could lead to her own destruction. Despite the dangers, Kotoki has one mission. Survive, reach the Oasis and become immortalized but she will need degen allies to help her along the way.
